There
were no secrets in Last Chance.
Much
like the first book in this series, One More Last Chance provides
readers with a cozy small town feel and a heroine who is ready to change her
life and make a difference. Sarah Cooley is a college graduate who is ready to
start her career as an elementary teacher back in her hometown. Sarah returns
and is able to rent a small house just down the street from her grandmother.
She notices that not much has changed in the small town since she last saw it,
nothing except the new owner of the Dip ‘n’ Dine, Chris Reed.
Anything that happens in a small town is sure to
make readers laugh and feel that they are part of all the banter. Last Chance,
New Mexico is no different. There is a wide range of fascinating characters,
including Sarah and Chris, who keep Last Chance afloat with all their gossip,
drama, and overall togetherness. Anyone who has ever lived in a small town will
of course be able to relate to this charming story.
The romance as well as all the endearing
characters made this book a really fun, easy read. I often thought to myself
that this would be a perfect series for a young adult or preteen who is just
starting out in the romance genre. The book has some really great messages
behind it, and having read the first book in this series I can say the same for
it as well.
